Girl Scouts from around western and central Oklahoma visited the Girl Scout Cookie warehouse in Oklahoma City over the weekend to load up their cars and trucks with Girl Scout Cookies for this year’s sale.

Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma will officially start the cookie sale on Saturday; it will run through March 7. Booth sales are scheduled to begin on Feb. 12.

Beginning Saturday, local Girl Scouts will be out visiting businesses, neighborhoods and communities in all 39 counties selling cookies. This is the second year the local Girl Scout council is offering “Cookies On Demand” — meaning cookies are now available for purchase and customers will not have to wait for orders to come in.

Money raised from the cookie sale stays with the local troop and council. Girls use funds they earn to pay for summer camp, to attend special events and activities and to participate in other leadership programs offered through Girl Scouts all year long.

For more information on the cookie sale this year, visit www.gswestok.org or call toll free 800-698-0022.
