Two Edmond residents were injured in a two-car collision at 7:05 a.m. July 4 just outside of Slick, Okla. in Creek County.
A report by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Paige Dowell indicates the wreck occurred on SH16 about 8/10s of a mile east of 273rd West Avenue, approximately three miles west of Slick.
Kendal Mckinley, 21 of Edmond, was driving a 2013 Ford Taurus with Antonio Moore of Edmond as her passenger. The Taurus was stopped in the eastbound lanes of SH16 for an unknown reason and was struck in the rear by a 2007 Kia Sorento driven by Ronda Delt, 52 of Bristow. Cause of the collision was cited by Trooper Dowell as improper stopping in roadway.
Mckinley was transported by Creek County EMS to St. John Hospital in Tulsa with head and trunk internal injuries. She was held there for observation. Moore was also transported to St. John where he was admitted in critical condition. Delt was transported to St. John Hospital with head and trunk internal injuries where she was treated and released.
