Today is the last day of BALTO, which stands for Bringing a Light to Others. The event is Edmond North High School’s philanthropy project, which will benefit the INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Center.

The school has had various fundraising events this week, including a Game Night, Dodge Ball Tournament and Mr. Husky Pageant.

This year, Student Council organizers tried to plan new events and revamp old events to help raise interest in BALTO from different groups in order to help raise more funds.

Each high school has an annual fundraiser to support a charity. Santa Fe High School will have Double Wolf Dare Week 2007 from Feb. 16-22, and Memorial High School will have Swine Week in early March

The closing ceremony for BALTO will be at 9:30 a.m. today.
