FBI investigates metro bank robbery
The FBI is investigating the robbery of a north Oklahoma City bank.
Thursday at about 9:53 a.m., a male and female entered the IBC Bank at 1924 N. Portland, provided a teller a threatening demand note, gathered the money and exited the bank on foot, FBI spokesman Gary Johnson said in a news release. No one was injured.
The male is described as being Hispanic or Native American, in his 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, heavy set, 200-225 pounds, with medium length dark hair and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The female was described as being possibly Asian, in her 20s, heavy set, 175-200 pounds, with dark hair pulled into a bun, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark sweat pants and a scarf.
A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered by the Oklahoma Bankers Association.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery may call the FBI at 290-7770, a 24-hour number. Callers may remain anonymous.
The investigation is being conducted by the FBI and Oklahoma City Police Department.
