A driver who failed to signal a turn ended up being arrested on several drug charges, according to Edmond Police.

Wynonne T. Dennis, 14140 Broadway No. 926, was driving near 15th and Broadway early Friday morning when she failed to signal while making a right turn, the police report stated.

A canine officer stopped the car and had his dog carry out a free search of the vehicle. The dog alerted on the passenger door, where passenger Tremayne T. Rogers of Oklahoma City was seated, according to police. An 11-month-old baby was also in the vehicle.

The child was dressed inappropriately for the weather, the report stated. Officers wrapped her in a blanket and later released her to the custody of the Department of Human Services.

Rogers and Dennis both denied having any illegal substances on themselves or in the car, according to the report. However, Dennis later produced a brown bottle containing a substance suspected of being crack cocaine and two bags of marijuana that had been hidden on her person, police said.

Testing later showed that the bottle contained 11 rocks of crack cocaine, and the two bags of marijuana weighed a total of nine grams, according to the report.

Dennis admitted that the two were selling drugs, police said. She and Rogers were both arrested on complaints of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute.
