The Edmond High School swimming teams had an easy time with Enid Tuesday night at the Oklahoma Christian pool. Five of the six teams posted victories, with Memorial taking a 106-47 win for the girls and 104-65 win for the boys. The North girls won 93-56 while the boys team won 101-52.

The Santa Fe girls won the last event against Enid to edge the Plainsmen 75-70, while the boys team lost 113-19.

The girls meet saw event winners from all the Edmond Schools. Hydi Gibson of Santa Fe won two events as she took the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Backstroke. Elise King and Jamie Pistulka from North each won an event with King winning the 50 Freestyle and Pistulka taking the 200 Freestyle. For Memorial, Kaitlin Scepanski won the 100 Butterfly, Kelly Harms the 100 Freestyle, Jill Enge the 500 Freestyle, and Krissy Harms the 100 Breastroke.

Memorial won all three relay events with the 200 Medley Relay team of Courtney Prince, Krissy Hamrs, Kelsey Duncan, and Hayley Persun taking the gold, as well as the 200 Free Relay team of Meg Callahan, Duncan, Alison Travis, and Scepanski, and the 400 Free Relay team with Kate Cerra, Megan Hatfield, Rachel Prince, and Travis.

For the boys, Avery Duffin of North won two individual events as he took the 200 Freestyle and 500 Freesyle. Teammate Hank Harris won the 200 Individual Medley, with Garrett Robberson winning the 100 Freestyle, Shawn Cromie the 50 Freestyle, and Evan Dunn the 100 Breastroke for the Huskies.

North also won the relays with the Medley Relay team of Robberson, Dunn, Dustin Mascorro, and Ken Rogge, the 200 Free Relay team of Robberson, Dunn, Harris, and Duffin, and the 400 Free Relay team of Rogge, Brent Ewing, Steven Hamby, and Forrest Jennings. For Memorial Jeff Enge won the 100 Butterfly and Bob Booth took the 100 Backstroke.

"We were able to try a lot of different combinations tonight," said coach Steve Riggs.

"We looked a little tired after three meets in five days, but it was good to take a look at a lot of people doing different events. That should help us in harder meets in the future."
