The No. 8-ranked Edmond Memorial boys quickly disposed of Owasso Monday afternoon, winning 65-40 in the third-place game of the Skiatook Invitational.

“Winning three games in the tournament would have been great, but our goal was to win two and we did that,” Memorial coach Shane Cowherd said. “And we got some experience on the east side of the state and you never know if you’ll be sent there for the playoffs.”

Obi Emegano led the Bulldogs with 22 points and 11 rebounds, James Woodard finished with 13 points and Jared Jobe kicked in 10.

Memorial jumped on the Rams early and led 33-6 at halftime. The Bulldogs then turned to their bench for much of the second half and held on for the 15-point victory.

Memorial is back on the road tonight when they play at Moore.
