KickingBird Golf Club is hosting the 2019 Oklahoma Golf Association Junior Boys and Girls State Championship this week.
This is KickingBird’s 10th straight year to host the event. The tournament runs through June 6. 104 of Oklahoma’s best junior golfers will be competing in a 36 Hole Stroke Play Tournament to determine the seeding for the Match Play Championship portion of the event.
New this year is professional golfer, Taylor Moore hosting and sponsoring the event. Moore grew up playing in Oklahoma Golf Association events and was a two-time state champion at Edmond Memorial High School. He played collegiate golf at the University of Arkansas and has been a professional golfer since 2016. Through his sponsorship, the event is set to be one of the best State Junior Championships in the country.
Many of Oklahoma’s best golfers have their name on the championship trophy and KickingBird Golf Club is excited to crown a 2019 Boys and Girls Champion this week.
