With Edmond schools approaching the midway point of district play, much is left to be decided. While nobody looks to be a lock for the post season, no one is out of it either.

After picking up their first district win of the season against Putnam City West, Edmond Santa Fe is looking to make up for some lost time. The Wolves are currently on the outside looking in at the three undefeated schools in District 6A-1, Norman North, Moore and Putnam North.

Santa Fe can gain some ground tonight against third-place Lawton (2-1). The Wolves should be able to beat up on winless U.S. Grant next week, before two tough games with Moore and Mustang.

Edmond Memorial (2-1) looks to be in good shape in District 6A-2. A win on Friday against Westmoore could have the Bulldogs sitting pretty. Memorial will have a very winnable game next week at Choctaw, before battling Putnam City (3-0) and a surprising Yukon (1-2) squad in the final week.

Edmond North’s playoff dreams are very obtainable despite a trip to Tulsa Union (6-0) on Friday. The Huskies (2-1) close the season with winnable games against Del City, Enid and Tulsa Memorial.

Deer Creek (1-2) will need a strong finish in a tough district to cement a return to the postseason. The Antlers should be able to even their record tomorrow night at Cleveland, before they embark on another tough stretch. Deer Creek will play undefeated Glenpool at home, travel to Star Spencer and wrap things up with a home matchup with Mannford.

Oklahoma Christian (2-1) is playing like a playoff team, despite a frustrating loss to Jones last week. The Saints could improve those chances with a win over undefeated Heritage Hall tomorrow night. They will wrap up district play with Millwood, and two winnable games against St. Mary’s and Wellston.
