Both the Oklahoma Christian School boys and girls basketball team won in the first day of their own festival Saturday.

The Saints improved to 14-1 with a 65-33 stomping of Riverside. OCS bolted out to a 14-1 lead and were ahead 31-18 at halftime. Blake Griffin scored 26 points and ripped down 16 boards to lead the way, while Tyler Phillips added 15 points and Tucker Phillips had seven.

The OCS girls managed to slip by U.S. Grant, 36-31, to improve to 9-6. Defense was key to the Lady Saints getting an early lead, as they were ahead 18-11 at halftime.

Julie Heidebrecht led OCS with 10 points, while Abi Morrison had nine.

The Oklahoma Christian Academy girls got 24 points from Melissa Busby, but still fell to Riverside, 48-37. OCA led, 11-8, at the end of the first quarter, but scored just two points in the second to fall behind for good.

The OCA boys were beaten by the Oklahoma City Storm, 75-33. They trailed 28-6 at the end of the first.
